Last Thursday I collected the propeller from the post office. It was a big relief to find the propeller in good condition considering the packing box was damaged.
We are very pleased with the propeller and parts supplied. The protractor looks simple to use.
Since the last update we completed fitting and drilling all the plastic windows.
The windscreens have a blown out appearance but it was achieved out of a flat sheet of Lexan.
Chris has continued to make progress on the wingtips and we hope to have a finished product soon.
Other smaller details like the trim handle assembly is finished and we had the handle chrome plated by a small plating shop in Sunshine.
It added a bit of quality to an already nice bit of engineering. The rudder cables have been swaged in place and correct travel has been checked.
Currently we are working on some fairing installation around the horizontal and vertical tailplanes.
I have been collecting AN fittings for the fuel system and hope to have this completed soon.
The instrument panel layout has been decided on and the remaining engine instruments have been purchased.
This simple task caused much debate and with some valuable input we have a layout that we are happy with.
The drilling and fitting of the instruments and radio has started.
All for now.
Regards Jack
